Therapeutic Art Groups
Therapeutic Art Groups are non-clinical, structured creative sessions designed to support emotional processing, stress reduction, and community connection. Unlike a casual craft workshop, the focus is not on producing a polished product, but on the process of art-making as a tool for exploration and healing. These groups are educational and wellness-based experiences and do not constitute as psychotherapy or clinical art therapy services. Offered for community spaces, wellness events, organizations, private groups, or more, each experience is thoughtfully tailored to the needs of the attendees and setting.

As a Board Credentialed Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and visual artist, I have a background in working with various populations and settings, including inpatient and outpatient physical rehabilitation and addiction treatment centers. I believe art is for everyone, and I bring a trauma-informed lens to my clinical and non-clinical work.
My Process:
1. Pre-Event Planning
After you inquire through the form linked below, I will be in touch and send you a custom quote. After booking me by signing an agreement and invoice, I will confirm attendee count, timeline placement (if part of a larger event), and setup details. We will also discuss my ideas for the group and materials. It is recommended to allot 60-90 minutes for a group, in addition to set up and clean up
2. On-Site Setup
I will arrive early to set up. I will need a table(s) for supplies and additional tables for attendees to work on, as well as chairs.
3. During
I will introduce myself and explain the goal for this type of group. The workflow and focus will depend on the setting. I'll provide a prompt and share what materials are available. Throughout working time, I will be around to check in to see how participants are doing with the task. Time will be managed to have time enough time to show artwork and reflect.
What's Included:
-
Planning time
-
All materials will be provided for events within driving distance. For events I need to fly to, we can discuss more on what works best.
-
An assistant may be brought with me for large groups/events to help me with set up and teardown.
-
Depending on the setting, community resources may be provided.

Pricing:
Quotes are customized based on expected attendee count, any specialized materials, and travel/accommodations. Pricing will vary and may be charged as a fee per person or overall rate per hour. In alignment with my commitment to accessible creative care, a limited number of pro bono or sliding-scale group experiences are reserved each year. Availability is intentionally limited to ensure sustainability of services.
Travel fees will apply for events over 30 miles each way at $.70 per business mile x the total round trip miles, plus any necessary toll/parking fees, which will all be included in the custom quote. Any event booked over two hours one way from me will require a hotel accommodation, which will also be included in the quote. Events over four hours away from me one way will require a flight. I love to travel, so any destination requests can be discussed!
